Currently there are two rocket launch sites in Scotland licensed for a total of 42 launches a year between them. Weather permitting guests will be able to see launches from both sites. 

Sutherland Spaceport operated by Orbex have a license for 12 rocket launches a year and are located just 37 miles from Celtic Lodges. 

SaxaVord Spaceport operated by SaxaVord and located in the Shetland Islands are licensed for 30 rocket launches a year. 

UPDATE: On Dec 4th 2024 Sutherland Spaceport announced that they will ‘paused’ construction and will instead launch from SaxaVord Spaceport and construction at Sutherland Spaceport will continue in the future. Read the BBC News article.
